Clayton of Belgium manufactures a line of Superheated Steam Generators that uses the same proven design as the basic steam generator which produces saturated steam, but with the addition of an integral steam superheating section to the helical coil. Alternatively, we can combine the standard steam generator with an external gas fired or electrical superheater. Our complete Superheated Line is available as medium-pressure steam boilers and high-pressure steam boilers.
Clayton ‘s Superheated steam generators provide superheated steam for a variety of industrial applications such as auxiliary boilers in power plants and wherever superheated steam is required. The fast start-up of these superheated boilers makes them your ideal choice for start-up boilers for gland sealing in combined cycle power plants. Since Superheated steam generators are essentially the same as saturated steam units, they provide the same advantages. Some benefits of using them as power plant auxiliary boilers include:
Rapid start-up: quick-start boiler starts quickly from a cold state to full output in approximately 15-30 minutes
Compact design: fits in a smaller area and has a relatively low operating weight
Low maintenance: due to a single burner
Fast response: steam on demand for all possible peak loads
High degree of operator safety: Clayton’s non-explosive design makes operation safe
